About Livermore Stories

red-thread-1.png

Livermore, California — forty miles west of San Francisco Bay, at the coordinates of 37.6819° N, 121.7681° W. In 1952, when Lawrence Livermore Laboratories was established as a branch of the University of California Radiation Laboratory at Berkeley and the United States Atomic Energy Commission, the population of this dusty western village increased dramatically. It’s because of the Lab, offering employment opportunities to our parents’ generation, that many of us moved to Livermore, grew up there, and formed lasting connections.

If you lived in Livermore, and attended elementary or high school, any time between the years of 1952 and 1972, we invite you to contribute the red thread of your story.
